The ’90s were a simpler time, a time where people believed that Beanie Babies could fund their retirement, home computers cried out as they connected to the World Wide Web, and grunge music surged into the mainstream. Weekends meant Blockbuster runs, and rewinding the VHS afterwards was a moral obligation, enforced by a $1 fee. Facial hair was once again thriving and goatees were straight up da bomb dot-com.
Filled with electrified air and flashing lights, arcades were the quintessential hangout — home to classics like Time Crisis, The Simpsons, and Sega Rally. And when you finally ran out of quarters, Old Navy was waiting with racks of phat graphic tees, baby tees, performance fleece, denim everything, and enough American flag shirts to outfit an entire generation.
